Sarah Carter, cellist, enjoys tremendous
versatility in her career as a performing artist. Her orchestral
affiliations, including American Composers Orchestra, American
Symphony, Westchester Philharmonic, Opera Orchestra of New York,
Stamford
Symphony Orchestra, Oratorio Society of New York, and Little
Orchestra Society, provide opportunities to play in all the finest
concert halls in New York City and the metropolitan area.

She is also a member of the Radio City Music
Hall Orchestra and of the orchestra of the current hit on Broadway,
"The Music Man", and has recently performed with American
Songbook and PDQ Bach with Peter Schickele. Other Broadway show
orchestras that she has been a member of are "Damn Yankees",
The King and I" and "Parade". Committed to educating
and enlivening children's lives with music, she plays concerts
for children all over the metropolitan area with her quartet,
"Festival Strings". Ms. Carter has recorded extensively,
performing all kinds of music. Recent recordings have been with
Audra McDonald, Mandy Patinkin, Kit Moran, Thiago de Mello, and
schuss a featured guest artist on Chuck Mangione's latest CD,
"The Feeling's Back". She lives in Cresskill with her
husband and three children.
